Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) is used to allow remote access from one computer to another, for example, an employee who works remotely can access a workstation on a server located in your company. It can be as simple as running RDP client software on a laptop and connecting to another RDP server computer. RDP then provides an encrypted connection between both terminals.
